Unions... A Time For Change

I am thinking.........back about 70 years ago,,,when safety was not so great in mines and other work areas such as construction or heavy industry we needed organizations like OSHA and FLSA and other protection groups.

The unions were there to protect the employees. The laws created that allowed the unions to organize and force negotiations of economics and contract language may have had a place 70 years ago.

But today, 2011, more than a half a century later, there is protective agencies for every type of situation imaginable: OHSA, FMLA, FLSA, EPA, Title VII, OFCCP, OIG, EEOC, ADA, ADEA, and on and on and on.

Now if employees want to give part of their pay away to the unions every other check or once a month, that's great.

But if I owned a business and I was forced to negotiate wages, I would let the employees find the door and go get a better paying job.

If I am paying a fair wage, and anything better than what China or Mexico or India for example are paying is offered up ........like 10 times what they pay, dont be surprised when companies go to other countries to have work completed.

But the bottom line is.......if you want Unions and employees want to give their weekly pay away to pay for service the union provides that is great BUT no company should be forced to negotiate pay with a union. If the employees dont think they are paid fairly........they know where the door is and they can go get better pay somewhere else.

It is time to change the laws that force companies to negotiate wages. If you dont like being paid 5 times more than minimum wage go look else where.

It is time to relook at the old laws and union negotiations forcing wage talks. Keep the unions and make employees happy by paying part of their checks to the unions for representation.......but force negotitaions is outdated and unnecessary.

We do not have slavery and if employees think they can get more money they should go find another company that will pay them better.........The door is open and slavery is gone.

Just a reminder......

Let me get this straight . . . .

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and
fined if we don't,

Which purportedly covers at least
ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,

written by a committee whose chairman
says he doesn't understand it,

passed by a Congress that didn't read it but
exempted themselves from it,

and signed by a President who smokes,

with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes,

for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
"benefits" take effect,

by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,

all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is obese,

and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!

What could
possibly go wrong?

Hey.............Has anybody noticed we have done nothing in 3 years to reduce Unemployment.......Do you think people are going to buy stuff with no money??? The brilliance of all the great leaders of our country's businesses can't figure out they shed all the jobs that they have to hire back?

It must be an awesome feeling to be a CEO today.........with it's highly paid "leadership" team......a word so inappropriate to highlight their failures.

What do they think is going to change and be different tomorrow that will give them the epiphany to take such bold action........

How un-b-f-ing lievable and scary.........about time for managers of corporate America to be exited from their jobs.............or are they just to egotistical and selfcentered at the risk of destroying the company so they stay rich?

Iran is a pretty large country in South West Asia. A president that believes Israel should not exist and a military Red Guard growing closer and bringing more support to Ahmadinejad in becoming a military state.

On the exciting new development front of science they claim they need to get their uranium up to 20% so that they can conduct health experiments in a medical isotope laboratory.

One interesting thing about the medical laboratory is that it has in common with a nuclear bomb the need for 20% uranium also................I am sure this is just coincidental.

Hey, did you know, Iran just announced and declared itself a "Nuclear State". Dang, I would have thought it would state "medical isotope cancer destroyer found in new medical laboratory". Didn't happen.

Well, Israel, constantly being threatened by Iran about not having a right to exist, is meeting with Russia to ask them not to send Iran an almost impenetrable anti-missile system to prevent anyone from attacking Iran once they have a completely well working nuclear weapon. And of course if they had a nuclear weapon they would proliferate that technology to other rouge states perpetuating and arousing opportunity for a new and potentially uncontrolled nuclear arms disaster.

Where do we go from here? A country that refuses to retreat on the development of nuclear weapons that is threatening the existence of Israel and setting up a face of don't mess with us, we are a superpower. Diplomacy is obviously not working and we are being viewed as a joke and weak by many countries of the world. Russia may decide to give Iran the anti-missile system. What are the options when diplomacy, help from other countries is not working, and sanctions do not work?

1) We can continue to tease them with our failed actions to date.

2) We can look the other way and hope they do not get successfully working nuclear weapons.

3) We can take out the sites of weapons of mass destruction NOW, if we can.

I say if we can, because do we know where they are? Can they even be reached, penetrated or destroyed?

Just imagine not taking action to completely stop Iran from having a nuclear weapon? The visions are a bloody nightmare.

Currently, we believe it is still possible to know out the sites producing the weapons grade material, but if Russia sends them the anti-missile system, it may be too late to take out the sites. That being said, What would you do and more importantly......how long do you wait?????

The bottom line question is simply, "Do you let them get a nuclear weapon or not?” If not, then Action must be taken very soon (weeks?), or live with the consequences of nuclear theats and fighting for survival.

Action now or pay the price.........I hope we step up and Act towards keeping a safe future free of threats and destruction................ Time for Action is definitely running out..............let's team-up and solve the globally potential world war.
